Unmasking The Secrets of Nocturne!
Nocturne 2025 is over. Our most ambitious Autumn event yet has gone off without a hitch, leaving only memories and photos behind (and a few masquerade masks).

Almost 60 people trekked across the country to Belchamps Activity Centre for the 2 night event. DFs young and old -many excited for another chance to see friends they had made on Camp 100- gathered for an event filled with glamour, glitter, and fun.
The event began with a nod to tradition: the fire lighting ceremony, often forgotten, was pulled back from the dead, and representatives from the North, South, East and West all brought greetings to kickstart the event. This was just the start of the shenanigans the programme team had in store: throughout Nocturne they provided fun-filled activities, such as song writing, or (very popularly) Masquerade mask designing.

Of course, the centrepiece of Autumn Nocturne was the Masquerade Ball. DFs were encouraged to dress up in formal clothes and dance the night away to music provided by our wonderful DF DJs. Mocktails were served by our very highly skilled bartender team, for the low, low cost of completing a bingo card.

Outside of the planned programme, DFs found ways to entertain themselves, including campfire songs, walks in the nearby countryside, and eating a lot of leftover rice.

Thank you to our fantastic co-ordination team for this event!
