Zines (pronounced ‘zeens’) are a short DIY magazine. They are generally published in small batches and photocopied into physical prints for circulation, and have routes in various alternative subcultures. They have been an important way throughout history of providing marginalised groups community and the ability to express and pursue common ideas and subjects.
The DF Zine is a collaborative art project. Here you can flick through past editions and read new ones as we make them this coming year! Some editions are in a printable format so you can collect them without being at events, others will be distributed by post (watch this space!) and in-person on camps. At national DF events, you can join in with our workshops, and read through the zine library. To contribute to future editions, with any art, writings or photos, email zine@spanthat.world.
