Accessibility Representative is a supervisory role on DF Committee. It is their responsibility to oversee the work of committee, ensuring the accessibility needs of DFs are considered. It is a one-year role.
Role on DF Committee:
The Accessibility Rep must remain independent of DF Committee because they must be able to be critical of the actions of Committee as well as the Movement as a whole. They work at making events and business available to as many people as possible, including liaising with event coordination teams about allergy catering, step-free access and much, much more.
History:
Accessibility Representative was originally a committee role, but it was updated to become the first ever supervisory role on DF Committee at Althing 2017 in Borth, Wales.
