Following an announcement of an on-site health and safety issue beyond our control that is unable to be resolved prior to the event due to the bank holiday weekend, the coordination team have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Spring awakening. According to the site we were going to use, their new electrical system is randomly static shocking people around the site. This may sound like a mildly amusing set up for an event, but we can assure you it would not be funny for the coordination team and their risk assessment.
DF Committee would like to apologise to everyone who was looking forward to attending next week.

Please remember that this event has, as always, been organised by DFs who had already put a lot of work into the pre-event planning stages of making this possible. We recognise that people will be upset by this sudden announcement, and as a team, we would like to stress that this was not an easy decision to make by any means.
